Drip Systems
Drip Systems use small emitters or hoses to deliver the nutrient solution to the roots. This can be accomplished with submersible pumps, or with air pumps. Drip Systems typically will have a constant trickle of nutrient solution being delivered to the roots. When dealing with smaller plants or newly planted seedlings this may be automated with a timer to prevent drowning young plants, but as the plants mature they usually require constant feeding. Plants can be grown in Hydroton, Soil, Coconut, Silica Stone, Rockwool, Perlite, Vermiculite, or a combination of these. Drip systems can be used to grow a wide variety of plants, and work well with heavy feeding plants, large plants, and even root vegetables.
