Soils
Soil is the naturally occurring, unconsolidated or loose covering of broken rock particles and decaying organic matter on the surface of the Earth, capable of supporting life. Soil particles are comprised of broken rock that have been altered by chemical, biological and environmental processes including weathering and erosion. Most of the soils below contain enough ingredients and nutrients to get young plants off on the right foot, and can be used straight out of the bag. Use caution when fertilizing for the first 2 weeks of transplanting into these soils.
