Why garden with LED lighting? Plants do not use all parts of the spectrum equally. This is because photosynthrtic pigments like chlorophyll and carotine absorb light very strongly at particular wavelengths. Using the right colors in the proper proportions, the performance of LED lighting can be optimized, to maximize the absorbtion spectrum of chlorophyll, p plants primary energy collecting pigment, resulting in outstanding growth. Another benefit to using LED lighting in the garden is the greatly reduced power consumption. LED lighting can consume up to 75% less energy than a typical HID lighting system, this is because LED lights dont produce the heat associated with larger indoor lighting systems so you typically dont have to use inline fans or air conditioners to keep your garden temperatures at optimal growing temperatures. LED lights are also smaller and lighter than indoor lighting options which allow you to use them in smaller areas.
