High Pressure Sodium lights produce a strong output of the orange-red spectrum, which will help promote fruiting and flowering in plants. If your planning on growing plants that will eventually flower, or produce fruit, than a HPS lamp is an ideal choice. Fluorescent lights are perfect for starting seeds, or clones before planting in the garden. They are also a good choice for giving your houseplants a boost during the short winter months.
