Sun Pulse lamps are specially formulated to work with high frequency digital ballasts.  These lamps were designed for plants and living things and are the only lamps to provide UV rays to your plants.  They are able to withstand the 4KvP pulse that electronic/digital ballasts give off upon start up.  This high frequency is what destroys " traditional lamps".
